This March, we’re joined at the O2 Academy Islington in central London by new wave vetrans, The Blockheads.

Best known for their controversial hit single, “Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll”, which was banned by the BBC (although still praised by John Peel), became NME’s single of the week to pave the way for more hits including “Reasons to be Cheerful”, “What a Waste” and perhaps their best known hit, “Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick”, which went straight to number one upon it’s release.

Joined by a host of fantastic support handpicked by promoters Absent Kelly, in the form of Tony Goff & the Broken Colours, Civilian Radio and JFK Blue, it promises to be an outstanding night of live music.
