    We’re bringing a jam packed bill of some of the best Indie Rock ‘N’ Roll the UK has to offer to the Amersham Arms this April. We’re really spoiling you with this one!

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, Rosie Pennie, a 19 year old singer-songwriter, will top the bill with her dynamic band. This Kent based songstress has a unique voice and her love of a good melody sets her apart from many of her contemporaries. Her distinctive soulful voice and passionate, energetic performances serve to define her as an artist who demands to be heard!

    Providing support is An Orange Conspiracy, three lads from London who play Indie Rock ‘N’ Roll with a retro edge. Their distinctive sound has gained them a host of fantastic reviews, with ‘Small City Big Personality’ writing, “There’s a real swagger to the performance and it showcases some really solid songwriting”.

    Bears Beanquet is the moniker and brain child of Adam Baring, who has created a unique sound, blending Blues, Country and Indie into a delightful hybrid, reminiscent of Band of Horses. This has been gaining him a lot of attention and fantastic reviews from numerous blogs and magazines!

    Joining us all the way from Warrington for the show is Phase 3. This five piece are pretty much brand new on the scene, but are already turning heads on their local scene with their Indie Punk Poetry!

    Greasy Diablos are a five piece band from Northampton who have become known for their ballsy Rock ‘N’ Roll, packed full of thrashing guitar riffs and growling vocals.

    Opening the show is Wales’ answer to Jake Bugg, Jack Perrett. Playing good old fashion Indie Rock ‘N’ Roll that has gained him great reviews and radio airplay including from Huw Stephens on the BBC.

    We’re starting May with an absolute belter of a show, packed full of Alt/Indie loveliness for you!

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, at the super cool Notting Hill Arts Club, Grapefruit are back! Grapefruit are a Kent based trio, who specialise in creating brooding, atmospheric Alt/Indie. Their unique sound has seen them produce a stunning debut EP that has gained them airplay on BBC Introducing on a numerous occasions.

    London five piece, Roughsketch mash together elements of Blues, Funk and Garage Rock, to create Indie/Rock with gritty vocals that are reminiscent of The Stranglers.

    Switch Violet are a quartet from Bath who specialise in perfectly crafted Indie Pop with a soulful edge that is catchy as hell and is currently bagging them numerous festival slots!

    Morning Tourist is a singer-songwriter from London whose Folky Indie Pop is ambient and uplifting and has gained him a host of radio airplay.

    Opening the show is Bradley Donaldson, a London based singer-songwriter who is brand new to the scene, but already turning heads with his melancholic Indie.

    Full Line Up: Lazy Girls, The What If Generation, The Bitter-Town Hounds, Premise

    Get your ear drums ready for a barrage of great new bands at the Fiddler’s Elbow this May!

    Topping this month’s bill is London five piece Garage Rock band, Lazy Girls. These guys specialise in rough and ready Rock ‘N’ Roll that is energetic and raw! Despite being relatively new to the scene, they’ve already played a number of the Capital’s live music hotspots and have been gaining a loyal following in the process!

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, The What If Generation are back. This Middlesex four piece combine melodic riffs with quirky rhythms, layered with haunting yet optimistic vocals. They are known for playing visually electric sets, so expect something a little bit different.

    Joining us from Southampton for the show is The Bitter-Town Hounds, a four piece who play hard hitting, guitar driven Punk/Metal that has already gained them a lot of attention on their local scene, as well as airplay on BBC Introducing.

    We’ll also be joined by Premise, a modern melodic Rock band based in Surrey. Premise are a quartet who are experts at crafting infectious guitar riffs and vocal hooks a plenty. Reminiscent of Lower Than Atlantis and Young Guns, these guys have bags of potential!

    Full Line Up: The Elements, The Unknown, The Sugar Snakes, Escapade, New Age Thrills

    May’s show at Alleycat, brings together some firm AK favourites with some new blood to create a bill to make your Saturday night a blinder!

    After impressing the promoters at a previous show, The Elements are back! This five piece from Hertfordshire play Bluesy Indie Rock that has already gained them a loyal following on their local scene and is starting to build them a good following here in the Capital too, not to mention spots supporting big names like The Blockheads.

    Kent four piece, The Unknown play Indie/Rock packed with big vocals and underlying tones of Blues and Soul that is distinctive and infectious.

    The Sugar Snakes are a local East London quintet who have been on the scene for many years so are no stranger to the stage, playing jazz infused punk/rock.

    Joining us all the way from Leicester for the show, is Escapade. This quartet play upbeat Britpop with a touch of psychedelia that has seen them play legendary venues, like Liverpool’s Cavern Club.

    Alt/Indie duo New Age Thrills will be there too, bringing with them their delicate, haunting indie that’s reminiscent of Lana Del Rey and London Grammar.

    On top of this, we’ll have Ian Daniels on the decks until 3am, keeping you up past your bedtime.

    Full Line Up: Flying Tailor, The BlendNano, OdstocksHijakkt

    The mighty Flying Tailor will be joining us once more. This time, they’ll be topping the bill at West London’s best loved venue, Notting Hill Arts Club.

    Flying Tailor is a London based quintet who play modern introspective folk with touches of rock and trip hop to give them a Radiohead-esque vibe. The band have already impressed promoters Absent Kelly at previous shows, as well as impressing crowds across London at venues including the O2 Academy Islington and the super cool Seabright Arms!

    Joining us all the way from Devon for the show is The Blend, who play Indie Rock with elements of Mod, Britpop and Punk! Their latest single, “Don’t Waste My Time” has bagged them tonnes of fantastic reviews, support slots alongside big bands like The Blockheads, and even a feature on London Live TV!

    Nano are a London based band who blend pop melodies and synthesisers with incredibly formed harmonies and heavy guitar riffs, they have found a unique concoction that is sure to have you desperate to see them a second time.

    Salisbury five piece Odstocks will be there too, bringing with them their anarchic Indie Rock that has seen them win big in local music awards and play venues such as Islington’s O2 Academy!

    Hijakkt are a London duo who will be performing their unique brand of Folky Alt/Rock, showcasing interwoven vocal harmonies and powerful melodic hooks.

    Get ready for our first ever Electronic/Soul/Pop night at Camden’s famous Proud. Expect good vibes, good tunes and a great night!

    Local lads arC will top the bill after impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show. Fusing acoustic guitar and keys with electronic samples, this four piece create a chilled out, jazzy vibe that is fresh, unique and infectious. The band are relatively new to the scene but have already bagged local radio airplay and some awesome reviews!

    Samuel Hyde is a singer-songwriter/producer who spent his younger years as the front-man of two touring rock bands, but has now gone his own way creating electronic infused commercial pop.

    London based Bisola is an artist who is known for her energetic and compelling performances and whose music has received radio airplay on numerous leading local and internet stations.

    East London songstress Gabriela Eva will be there too. The singer-songwriter fuses folk with elements of jazz, new soul and pop to create an ambient, acoustic set.

    Joining us all the way from Manchester for the show is Sally Caitlin. This singer-songwriter plays electro-synth pop packed with relatable, heartfelt and autobiographical lyrics.

    The Ordinary Boys are back with a brand new record and a massive twenty five date tour, joining us at The Garage for their only London show, to showcase their new offering, as well as treating you to some of the hits.

    Their latest album ‘Real Life’, was released in October 2016 and sees the band returning to their roots, after rediscovering the old punk and ska albums that saw them pick up their instruments in the first place. Back to their original line up, plus the addition of Louis Jones of celebrated Power Pop band Spectrals, the band are looking to recreate the sound, energy and ethos of their earlier work like their debut album, ‘Over the Counter Culture’ and the follow up, ‘Brassbound’ that featured the band’s defining, ‘Boys Will Be Boys’. The boys have been in the studio with the likes of Rory Atwell (the Vaccines, Veronica Falls) and Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon, Lower Than Atlantis) to make sure they capture the same magic they created ten years ago!

    The band are hoping for this tour to recreate their early shows; energetic and unpredictable with, in their own words, “sweat dripping from the walls”. So let’s oblige and make this show extra-ordinary.

    May’s Emerging show at vibrant Islington’s O2 Academy2 brings together a group of some of the best Indie Rock ‘N’ Roll the underground circuit has to offer right now!

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, Regal Sea return. The young Indie/Rock four piece, based here in London, are already starting to make a name for themselves on the local scene, known for their electrifying performances.

    Providing support is She’s Seventeen. Based in South West London, this trio play high energy Indie/Punk, packed with catchy hooks and riffs a plenty!

    Vague will be coming down from York for the show. The quartet’s unique, retro sound has been recently gaining them slots alongside big names like The Hoosiers and Toploader.

    Local East London lads, The Rogues, will be there too. Playing their brand of raw, rough and ready Rock ‘N’ Roll that has seen them play well renowned venues such as the Camden Assembly.

    Opening the show is another London outfit, The Troubadours, who will be bringing with them their melodic Mod-esque Indie that’s sure to get you dancing!

    May sees us Rock 229 once more with some firm AK faves, as well as some exciting new faces!

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at previous shows, Crystal X are back! Crystal X are a London female fronted ambient rock band began their journey in the the depths of a dingy old garage, but now have tours lined up with members of Rock heavyweights like The Eagles and Toto! The thrashing guitar riffs and soaring vocals of their latest single “Good Girl” is sure to carve their legacy in the institutional power house of British Rock!

    London based four piece Perfect Flaws will draw you in with their perfectly flawed blend of raging choruses, beautiful harmonies and pounding drums. They’re rough and ready and oh so infectious!

    Origami Heart are a five piece from Farnborough whose music is packed full of four-part vocal harmonies, catchy melodies and technical guitar riffs. A good time is pretty much guaranteed.

    Joining us all the way from Preston for the show is Breaking Waves. This quartet play Melodic Rock, reminiscent of Royal Blood and have played alongside big names including Mallory Knox and on huge stage including numerous O2 venues.

    The Hellfire Club are a trio from Brighton who are all about playing huge live shows, bringing their hard-hitting, ballsy Rock to the stage. Expect classically influenced Hard Rock and plenty of it!

    Opening the show is April33, a trio from Leicester who play electro-goth-rock group influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Sisters Of Mercy.
