    Our maiden show at The Cavendish Arms sees a bill full of talented emerging artists brought together for a night of outstanding unsigned music!

    Topping the bill for the evening is The Pin-Ups. These three guys from Bedfordshire play riff driven indie rock ‘n’ roll, that is catchy as hell and impossible not to move to! The band already have a loyal following on their local scene, but are now ready to show the Capital what they’re made of.

    Providing support is The Stoned Crows, a London quartet who specialise in crafting old school rhythm & blues with a rock edge. Their signature sound has seen them bag slots at big name venues, such as Islington’s O2 Academy and record at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis.

    South East London quartet Raze will be there too. These guys play lo-fi post punk that has psychedelic elements and is totally unique. Their compelling sound has seen them play some of the best loved underground stages in London.

    King William Street are Norfolk based trio who play folk inspired indie. They may be relatively new to the scene, but they’re already turning heads on their local scene.

    Songstress Jasmine Oakley is also on the bill. This talented artist will be bringing her soulful vocals that has seen her play Ronnie Scott’s to the stage for the evening.

    Opening the show is singer-songwriter Flo Gallop. Flo’s acoustic pop is infectious and her powerful vocals are truly memorable.

    We’ve got a bangin’ East Indie Club at 93 Feet East this October for you! Get yourselves down for a night of fantastic indie and acoustic talent.

    Topping the evening’s bill is London based singer-songwriter, Curtis Lee and his band. This talented musician plays upbeat, feel good tracks that is sure to get you on your feet! His signature sound has gained him slots at some of the Capital’s best loved venues including The Water Rats and Cargo.

    Kavanagh are a five piece from Kent who play indie rock with fuzzy punk riffs, reminiscent of Slaves. The band have spent the summer playing on the underground festival circuit and bagging radio plays in their local area, and now they’re ready to show the Capital what they’re made of.

    After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, Southside Bay are back. These Southsea natives, now based in London, will be playing their brand of Ska/Indie that is both feel good and funky!

    We’ll also be joined by Another Summer. The local London trio will be bringing with them their brand of Pop/Rock overlaid with distinctive, New Romantic-esque vocals.

    Ross Connell is a London based singer-songwriter who specialises in crafting acoustic punk, jam packed with witty lyrics about drinking and slacking off. Think Frank Turner with a bit more bite.

    Opening the show is Jack Hawitt, a singer-songwriter from London who’s haunting and ambient sound is truly a joy to behold!

    We’re going West once again this October for a pre-Halloween bash of great live bands!

    Topping the evening’s bill are Sussex based Kyanos. These guys have impressed promoters Absent Kelly before with their unique psychedelic indie. Lo-fi in places and jazzy in others, it’s easy to see why these guys are turning heads right now!

    Artist Charlotte Berg will be joining us all the way from the USA for the show. Charlotte’s sound has seen her gain numerous great reviews and tour the world with her brand of laid back folk inspired indie.

    Joining us from Liverpool for the show is Colour, a quartet who have shared bills with the likes of Everything Everything and Jungle, thanks to their intelligent brand of indie rock. We’re expecting big things from these guys!

    Ace Rosewall is a Danish singer-songwriter, who’s now based in London. This troubadour has been impressing audiences with his rugged voice and smooth melodies.

    Opening the show is London based indie singer-songwriter Zacharie Lambert. Zacharie’s laid back sound has seen him play some of his native Norwich’s best venues.

    The next big thing in Indie Rock, The Amazons, join Absent Kelly to spin some records at London’s Amersham Arms for a Halloween Spooktacular this Halloween weekend. Fancy dress is highly encouraged, and we’ll have free face painting, apple bobbing, spooky visuals and live bands & DJs all night!

    The Amazons have shot to fame in the last year and have been named in the BBC’s Sound of 2017, as well as being championed by NME, The Independent and Radio X, to name but a few. The band spent the summer on the International festival circuit and have played huge stages including Glastonbury, The Isle of Wight and Reading & Leeds. With numerous TV appearances on MTV, Sunday Brunch and more, these guys are slap bang in the middle of the spotlight right now!

    Get your creep on in a totally new way this Halloween and head down to this indie disco with one of the hottest new bands of the year!

    Full Line Up: Fortify, Sidelines, Tales of Perdition, Between the Lines, Kiss the Gun

    Just a few days before Halloween, head down to Islington’s Hope & Anchor to catch some of the best underground rock the South of England has to offer right now!

    Headlining the show to celebrate the release of their debut album, is Fortify. This Essex based five piece, who have impressed promoters Absent Kelly before, will be bringing their signature brand of female fronted “easy-core” to the stage. Merging elements of pop/punk and metal with frontwoman Anna’s distinctive vocals, we’re expecting big things from these guys off the back of their debut offering, especially since their debut single, “Emergency Exit” was featured on BBC Introducing.

    South East London quintet, Sidelines will be providing support. These guys create a huge sound, full of driving guitars and soaring vocals and high octane, energetic live shows.

    Tales of Perdition are a London based symphonic metal five piece who are relatively new to the scene, but are already turning heads with their distinctive sound.

    We’ll also be joined by Between the Lines, a five piece from Bedford whose high energy pop/punk has seen them play some huge venues, including the Camden Assembly.

    Opening the show are Salisbury hard rock five piece, Kiss the Gun. These guys are also on the verge of releasing their debut album, so expect a preview from them here!

    We’re bringing yet more soul and funk talent to the stage of New Cross’s Amersham Arms this November.

    Drunk On Tuesday are headlining the show. This five piece from London play funky, soulful R&B that has an undeniable 80s groove yet and a fresh feel all at the same time. The band have been turning heads on the underground London scene lately, thanks to the fact they’re well known for getting the party started!

    Argentinian songstress, Chita, will be there too. Now based in London, Chita’s sound Is classic soulful R&B and has been getting her great reviews and slots at some of the Capital’s best underground music venues.

    Known for her engaging live shows, DiElle plays pop reminiscent of Carol King and Joni Mitchell that has seen her gain great reviews and have the chance to compose for film.

    Rebecca Raw is an Essex based artist whose powerful voice and distinctive atmospheric pop has impressed Absent Kelly before, and we couldn’t wait to have her back!

    Abigail Scott has also impressed us before with her classic pop sound and huge voice! This talent has seen her play All Starz Reading Festival, Kensington Roof Gardens, Cargo and many more great venues!

    K.A. Smiley is a London based alt/pop act. He maybe fairly new to the scene, but is already turning heads with his Franz Ferdinand meets Bruno Mars sound.

    Full Line Up: John D. Prasec, One Last Thrill, Rough Stone, Imperium, The Hot One Two, Kilian Noise & the Friends of Darkness

    We’re bringing a night of hard and heavy rock to the stage of the West End’s 229 this November!

    Headlining the show is John D. Prasec and his band. After forming a successful career for himself in Italy, John’s classic alt/rock sound is going down a storm in the UK too and has gained him rave reviews, radio airplay and spots at legendary venues including Camden’s Black Heart! Expect a fresh take on nostalgic rock ‘n’ roll delivered with a ton of energy.

    One Last Thrill will be providing support. This female fronted alt/rock band have impressed promoters Absent Kelly before and are back with their compelling sound. Having featured on BBC Introducing and with Castledown Radio calling them “A band that sways between suave and swagger”, they’re certainly ones to watch!

    Rough Stone channel legendary Seattle bands to create their own grunge rock. The London trio have been turning heads on the underground London rock scene playing much loved venues including Nambucca.

    West Londoners Imperium are flying the flag for fresh Heavy Metal right now!  The quintet are known for their energy and signature sound and, as a result gained a slot on Bloodstock’s Metal 2 the Masses event this year.

    The Hot One Two pride themselves on being offensive to all five senses, and the five piece mix the sound of classic rock mixed with today’s modern attitude. Expect contagious riffs, face-contorting solos and monstrous beats!

    Opening the show is Camden band, Kilian Noise & the Friends of Darkness. These guys may be relatively new to the scene, but they’re already showing promise with their brand of alt/rock.

  • REPUBLICA @Islington Assembly Hall

    Brit pop trail blazers, Republica return to London for a special, one off headline gig, curated by promoters Absent Kelly.

    Dominating the charts in the Nineties Republica are still going strong, with touring and new music releases. The band are best known for being one of the key proponents in the femme-Britpop scene along with Sleeper, Elastica, Garbage and Lush, or you may know them thanks to their hits being featured in over 300 films and adverts, including Scream. Not to mention their indie masterpiece hit single “Ready to Go” soaring to number one in eighteen countries!

    Republica are still driving crowds wild worldwide and are known for their electrifying performances. Without a doubt a must see, and certainly a band to see again!

    Fireworks are set to go off at Alleycat this November, so make sure you get yourself down to see the sparks fly.

    Headlining the night is a band that have impressed promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show, Junk Time Party. This Croydon five piece play indie rock with elements of funk and punk to create something unique and compelling, that is picking them up a loyal following on their local scene.

    Mancunian dream-pop/post-indie quartet New Luna will be there too. With a ton of great reviews and spots at YNOT?, ArcTanGent and The Great Escape festivals, these guys are, without a doubt, ones to watch!

    The Marble Arches is the brainchild of Harry Wainwright Little, a Yorkshire based musician who plays fuzzy indie, reminiscent of The Hives and The Vines, that has seen him featured on his local BBC Introducing station.

    Essex indie pop duo Woodmans will be there two. This pair have been turning heads on their local scene, playing charming heartfelt anthems with distinctive vocals around their local festivals throughout the summer.

    Local London quartet The Edit will be providing support. Expect a mix of ska, rock and punk from these guys, performed with tons of energy!

    Joining us all the way from Northern Ireland for the show are Cloakroom Q. These five guys have been receiving great reviews and radio airplay for their experimental psychedelia.

    Welsh songstress Sian Richards has been making waves in Wales with her captivating voice, that has seen her feature on BBC Radio Cyrmu and bag a host of great reviews!

    Tercelvoice is opening the show. This singer-songwriter specialises in crafting delicate alt folk that has seen him receive rave reviews!

    And as if this wasn’t enough, we’ll have Goldseal on the ones and twos ‘til three, with your favourite indie floor fillers.

    This quartet have skyrocketed from humble beginnings in Warrington, up to the big leagues of late!     We’ve got a fantastic night of alt/rock heading your way this November at King’s Cross’s Surya!

    Topping the bill are South East London lads, Priests to Pilots. This quartet play fast paced, catchy Pop/Punk that, despite being pretty new to the scene, has seen them gain a loyal following, and have already impressed promoters Absent Kelly at a previous show. This is music that is sure to get stuck in your head!

    London based four piece Perfect Flaws will draw you in with their perfectly flawed blend of raging choruses, beautiful harmonies and pounding drums. They’re rough and ready and oh so infectious!

    Fusing heavy grooves with dark melodic vocals, Nightjar have a distinct sound! This trio from Buckinghamshire play fresh, female fronted rock with a grunge edge that’s captivating!

    Brighton alt/rock quartet The Yellow Bellies will be joining us too. They’ve already got a loyal following on their local scene and have received airplay on BBC Introducing.

    Get down to Surya this November for one last party before the festive season takes over. This time, we’re keeping things soulful!

    Topping the bill after impressing promoters Absent Kelly before is FRESCO. FRESCO is a band based in Manchester who blend older funk and soul music with a contemporary pop sound. With choruses to sing to, grooves to dance to and an energetic stage presence, this 5-piece is putting the soul back into pop music.

    Amie Jane Brown will be providing support. This talented Surrey based songstress has a sublime voice that has seen her play festivals across Europe and share the stage with members of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Skunk Anansie.

    Fusing Jazz, folk, country, soul and pop, Lauren Lucille’s sound is totally unique! The talented London based artist weaves compelling stories into her beautiful melodies to create her own signature sound that is gaining her a loyal following,

    Tin will be there to give us a preview of his upcoming EP. Having moved to London from Australia to follow his dream, Tin’s new material is dark electro pop, think Dual Lipa meets Banks, and he’s ready to take on the Capital with his new signature sound.

    Expect youthful floor fillers from Kent’s Michael King! He may be young, but he already knows how to craft a perfect pop song and this hasn’t gone unnoticed. He’s already received radio airplay on both side of the Atlantic, including on BBC Introducing.

    We’re welcoming an old AK favourite back to the London stage this November at 93 Feet East.

    Back from a short break, and having impressed Absent Kelly before on this very stage, Human In Bloom return to headline the show! Human in Bloom are a London based four piece that play psych-alt-indie-electronica, which has earned them rave reviews from a number of blogs. Think Muse meets Radiohead, delivered with tons of energy and charisma!

    Providing support is Vals, an Italian singer-songwriter, now based in London, who will be playing his debut full band show on the night! Expect feel good tunes from this promising talent.

    Reckless Jack will be providing a hark back to the days of classic indie pop! This London quartet have been getting great reviews left right and centre for their infectious sound.

    We’ll also be joined by Joe Kelly & the Royal Pharmacy, a Welsh outfit who are reminiscent of Seasick Steve and Father John Misty. It’s fresh and different and very very cool!

    Joining us all the way from Manchester are Big Society, a quartet who are ready to show the Capital what they’re made of, with their laid back indie sound.

    We’ll also be joined by Another Summer. The local London trio will be bringing with them their brand of Pop/Rock overlaid with distinctive, New Romantic-esque vocals.

    Opening the show is Malla, a London based musician who has an incredibly diverse sound. Switching from indie to folk to alt/rock, Malla is full of surprises.

    Indie pop Northerners, Frankie & the Heartstrings are joining us this December to make your Christmas come early.

    In their time, the band have worked with some huge names from the industry! Being signed to the famous Wichita and Rough Trade labels has seen the band get produced by the likes of Wichita label pal, The Cribs very own Ryan Jarman and Britpop Legends, Suede’s Bernard Butler. You’re also sure to be familiar with their feel good Indie anthem “Hunger” (which was famously and cleverly once used on a dominos advert)!

    The Pop Up Recs pioneers have toured with the likes of The Vaccines, Florence & the Machine and Kaiser Chiefs to name just a few, and have played some of the world’s biggest and best festivals, including Glastonbury and Latitude. They’re still very much going strong on stage now too, having spent the summer on the festival circuit.

    For a night of some of the most feel good music going, make sure you get yourselves down and satisfy that hunger!

    Christmas may well have come early for some of you, as 90s hit makers Space are hitting Islington’s famous Garage this December!

    The cult Scousers were known for their experimental pop/rock and famous hits, “Me and You Versus the World”, “Neighbourhood”, “Avenging Angels” and, probably their most famous of all, “Female of the Species” which was used in numerous adverts and television series, including as the theme tune to ITV’s famous “Cold Feet”. Throughout their career the band have been known for staying unique, whilst still bagging seven top 20 hits!

    Still known to give one hell of a live show, Space are not to be missed by anyone 90s rock lover!
